masq and veil Unlike how most mushes interpret masq and veil, we chose to use the interpretation of masq and veil given in the stories in the books, the games (like Vampire Bloodlines) and the dictations of the wish for intersphere rp. This means that a masq breach is not automatic, that if you tell -anyone- of your race, you are in trouble. There are whole groups that are not considered a breach of the masq or the veil, and this goes for both Vampires and Shifters. Homeless people for example, because they usually have some mental issues going on will simply not be believed, and can be fed from and shown things almost without impunity. Other supers are not a danger to the masq or veil because they have as much to gain by keeping the secret that there is more beyond the superficial as you yourself. However, they probably should not be trusted with large amounts of information. Most vampires will know werewolves exist and vice versa, just don't share your weaknesses. The only masq or veil breach is if someone with status or influence in society learns -and- believes things that they should not know. The more people to get involved in this sharing of knowledge, the worse. So someone showing the life of Vampirism to a documentary maker who makes a documentary of this which is being broadcasted, is in a lot worse trouble than someone who feeds from a homeless person. The Kiss is something you cannot easily hide, and the one recieving the Kiss simply does not -care- about what happens at the moment, and will probably believe it was some kind of strange dream, but it is not mind control. Vampires will have people that know what they are but don't care to tell others, like herd and helpers, who they don't have to ghoul to make them stay quiet. After all, who is going to believe them? |
